washing dishes: a father’s glimpses

I dreamed of drinking water from a glass mug (the beer mug style with handle and thick glass. As I drank all of the water in the glass, I noticed a fleck of something black at the bottom. As I kept drinking and the water tipped away from the bottom of the mug, the black speck didn’t move as an inanimate piece of dirt would but it began to walk along the inside of the mug.

I pulled the mug away from my mouth and slid it across a counter. The dot at the bottom was a tiny frog — huh, or maybe a tadpole — swimming and walking on the inside of my cup.

And my other dreams consisted of at least two instances of urine. In the drinking water with the frog surprise, I may have tasted a bit of brackishness that I assigned meaning that I was drinking some of the urine of a frog.

There were other sorts of pissing. So, what might the urine symbolize?

• the elimination of toxins from the body
• staying hydrated
• the same water that dilutes urine must be filtered through a cycle that eliminates or dissipates

Yesterday, I had the intuition that: we must be bigger >> we must be courageous.

Over the two last days, I’ve seen a dragonfly pass by and a hummingbird drinking nectar.
